The Chefs’ Warehouse plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the accurate and timely distribution of high-quality food products to customers. This position requires strong organizational skills, an impeccable driving history, and the capacity to handle the physical tasks involved in loading and unloading deliveries.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Class C Transport Driver:

• Confirm that the available stock aligns with the required delivery quantities.
• Stay on schedule by following delivery routes accurately with the assistance of maps or GPS technology.
• Transfer and organize items from the storage location into the transport van.
• Secure timely and precise transportation to specified drop-off locations.
• Ensure that deliveries are properly acknowledged by obtaining signatures or making required payments.
• Stay connected with the warehouse to receive timely updates on delivery status.
• Be diligent in finalizing and submitting delivery paperwork before you finish your shift.
• Reporting vehicle problems or incidents to supervisors is necessary.
• Ensure strict observance of traffic rules and company-mandated safety measures.

Qualifications and Experience of Class C Transport Driver:

• Candidates must possess a high school diploma or a GED.
• A clean driving record along with a valid driver’s license is a prerequisite.
• Satisfying the conditions of a DOT physical examination is a vital obligation.
• Driving and parking heavy-duty vehicles with competence and precision.
• Adaptable to lifting tasks requiring a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Having practical experience with hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is a welcome qualification.
• Demonstrating strong customer service acumen, time management skills, and organizational capabilities.
