Truck Driver
Job Summary of Truck Driver:
This position is responsible for transporting feed and feed ingredients while ensuring timely deliveries, compliance with safety regulations, and excellent customer service. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to operational protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Truck Driver:
- Safely transport feed and related products to designated locations.
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining accurate records.
- Load and unload materials as needed, ensuring proper handling procedures.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper load securement and hours of service regulations.
- Provide professional customer service and address client inquiries or concerns.
- Participate in mandatory drug and alcohol testing programs as required.
- Assist operational staff and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience of Truck Driver:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL and DOT medical certification.
- Valid Class A CDL preferred.
- Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport materials as required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience handling bulk liquids, pressure trailers, or operating forklifts is a plus.
- Willingness to work additional hours, overnight stays, and weekends as needed.
- Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings, including drug, background, and motor vehicle checks.
