Applicator / Truck Driver
Job Summary of Applicator / Truck Driver:
This hybrid role involves transporting agricultural products and operating application equipment based on seasonal needs. Responsibilities include delivering products, applying fertilizer and crop protection, and maintaining equipment. This role offers a balance of fieldwork and driving duties while providing essential services to agriculture customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Applicator / Truck Driver:
- Apply fertilizer and crop protection products using high-clearance sprayers or floaters.
- Pick up and deliver products as needed.
- Provide courteous service and educate customers on product usage and application techniques.
- Assist sales staff in verifying orders and supporting customer needs.
- Operate warehouse equipment including loaders and forklifts.
- Lift and load products and complete product mixing as required.
- Ensure vehicle and equipment cleanliness and maintenance.
- Complete daily inspections and routine preventive maintenance.
- Comply with all safety regulations and documentation requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience of Applicator / Truck Driver:
- 1+ years of experience in agriculture operations or product application.
- Valid CDL and DOT medical card or ability to obtain.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Willingness to work extended hours including overnights and weekends.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
- Experience in bulk liquid handling, pressure trailers, or forklift operation preferred.
- Pre-employment screening may include drug testing, background checks, and driving record review.
