Senior Service Representative

Job Summary:

You will provide technical support to customers in the North American Food Division, ensuring equipment and can-filling processes operate efficiently. The role involves troubleshooting seaming equipment, conducting repairs, and providing training as needed. Extensive travel is required.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure customers can satisfactorily close food cans by setting and maintaining seaming equipment.
• Diagnose and correct seam defects and seaming machine issues.
• Respond to customer requests for general and emergency breakdown assistance.
• Conduct proactive visits to analyze seam results and provide necessary adjustments.
• Commission new equipment, perform repairs, and oversee on-site overhauls of closing equipment.
• Maintain internal and external communication, providing updates on field developments and competitor activities.
• Identify and deliver training for customer personnel on new equipment and process improvements.
• Submit customer service reports and timesheets in a timely manner.
• Perform double seam teardown, evaluation, and documentation.
• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, audit, repair, rebuild, and install seaming equipment.
• Assist with product trials, testing, and quality issue resolution.
• Provide training on double seam processes.
• Gather and report data on tooling, equipment, and processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma with technical training.
• 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing or machine maintenance.
• Experience with can closing equipment preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical training in equipment repair.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel 70-80% (both driving and flying).
