Job Summary of CDL A Delivery Driver:

CHS Inc. is seeking a team member responsible for transporting feed and feed ingredients in a safe and efficient manner. This position supports timely deliveries and upholds operational standards while maintaining a focus on safety and customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Delivery Driver:

• Ensure accurate and timely pickups and deliveries to customers in a safe and professional manner.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting courteously and professionally with customers.
• Address customer concerns promptly and escalate to leadership when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load securement, and hours of service.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle interiors, exteriors, and work environment.
• Perform and document daily maintenance inspections and report any needed repairs.
• Support equipment upkeep through regular preventive maintenance tasks.
• Promote and adhere to all safety procedures, policies, and personal protective equipment protocols.
• Identify and report workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Report incidents, accidents, and traffic violations immediately to supervisor.
• Participate in required drug and alcohol testing programs and continuous monitoring protocols.
• Support additional operational tasks and assist team members as needed, including intercompany deliveries.

Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Delivery Driver:

• 1+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain roles.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintain or obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Willingness to work additional hours, overnight stays, or weekends as required.
• Valid Class A CDL preferred.
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
• Background in agriculture preferred.
• Customer service and forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with bulk liquid or pressure trailer transport is a plus.
• Pre-employment screening may include drug testing, criminal background check, motor vehicle records, physical assessment, and FMSCA Clearinghouse verification.
