Job Summary:
This role involves collaborating with engineers to design and test lab and field equipment. The will also assemble prototypes, develop test fixtures, and provide valuable input on product designs. The position requires broad-based project coordination, including fieldwork and lab testing.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a core team member of assigned new product development teams.
- Collaborate with design engineers to create and execute detailed test plans, including lab, field, and standard tests.
- Assemble and develop prototype equipment.
- Design and develop test fixtures.
- Analyze and report on experimental test results.
- Assist in the selection and application of data acquisition equipment for lab and field tests.
- Develop design concepts for electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and structural systems.
- Develop and de-bug electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical prototypes.
- Conduct additional tests as required by design personnel.
- Stay up to date with industry standards that impact product development.
- Provide recommendations for improvements in facilities, equipment, personnel, and training.
- Ensure high standards of creativity, production, work quality, and safety.
- Support field testing by interacting with customers and resolving product-related issues.
- Participate in quality initiatives and training, supporting the company’s Quality policy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School diploma with at least three years of experience in a mechanical/electrical technician role --OR-- a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with a minimum of two years of relevant experience --OR-- at least seven years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
- Experience with data acquisition systems such as LabVIEW or SoMat is required.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Experience with CIPP, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with 12V, 24V, and 110V electrical systems.
- Basic skills in machining and welding are a plus.
- Training or certification in CIPP, electronics, hydraulics, or related technical fields is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with internal teams and external customers.

Salary:
The estimated hourly pay range for this position is $25.16 to $31.00, depending on experience, education, and location.
