Project Engineer

Job Summary:

The Engineering role within PG&E is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engineering solutions in the energy sector. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, conducting studies and analyses to improve the performance and safety of energy systems. The ideal candidate will be innovative, detail-oriented, and capable of solving complex technical challenges to contribute to the overall success of PG&E's energy operations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, design, and implement engineering solutions for energy systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, analyze data, and evaluate system performance to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Design and oversee engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in energy systems and processes.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Develop and prepare technical reports, documents, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership in engineering processes and practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant engineering experience in the energy or utility sector (preferred).
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams.

Preferred:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or certification.
• Experience in the energy, utility, or related industry.
• Familiarity with PG&E’s operational systems and safety practices.
