Feed Truck Driver
Job Summary of Feed Truck Driver:
This position involves hauling feed, grain, and agronomy products to local customers. It is a weekday daytime role with daily home time and offers opportunities for overtime throughout the year. The role includes safe operation of commercial vehicles while delivering exceptional service to customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Feed Truck Driver:
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customers in a professional and safe manner.
- Assist with loading and unloading as needed.
- Provide courteous and prompt customer service and communicate any concerns to leadership.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations including hours of service, load securement, and vehicle inspections.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete daily maintenance inspections.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and report any equipment issues promptly.
- Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
- Report all accidents, incidents, and traffic violations immediately.
- Participate in CHS random drug and alcohol testing and Continuous Monitoring Program.
- Support operations staff and assist with intercompany deliveries as needed.
Qualifications and Experience of Feed Truck Driver:
- Class A CDL
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid DOT medical card
- Willingness to perform basic vehicle maintenance
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Availability for extended hours, occasional overnight stays, and some weekends
- Tanker and air brake endorsements preferred
- Experience in agriculture or customer service preferred
- Experience with bulk liquid, pressure trailers, or forklifts preferred
- Pre-employment screening may include drug testing, background checks, and physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
