Inventory Specialist
Job Summary of Inventory Specialist:
Your role involves supporting warehouse activities through tasks such as choosing items, packing orders, putting together products, organizing goods, shipping, and receiving deliveries. This position is fundamental in attaining the productivity and quality aims of the site while ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced setting.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Inventory Specialist:
- Scrutinize manufacturing timetables, client orders, work directives, shipping instructions, or requisition documents to ascertain the items designated for gathering or relocation.
- Move materials and items from receiving or production sectors to designated storage sites.
- Organize and segregate products based on their SKU numbers, quantities, and categories.
- Utilize equipment like an electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift for the movement of products as directed.
- Ascend up to 25 feet on a cherry picker safely harnessed for security.
- Utilize clear and concise communication techniques when engaging with receivers, drivers, and forklift operators.
- Observe safety precautions for truck and trailer hauling procedures.
- Sort and allocate goods to specific areas within the warehouse.
- Oversee the usage of company-issued equipment, such as PPE and voice communication tools.
- Raise awareness about safety hazards in the work environment.
- Ensure you wear the company-issued uniform as instructed for your work duties.
- Select items from storage to pack and send out customer requests.
- Attach specific information to the pallets and open containers as needed for identification.
Qualifications and Experience of Inventory Specialist:
- - Qualifications for this role include either a high school diploma, a GED, or a short period of related experience or training.
- Aptitude for managing an electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift.
- Experienced in safely maneuvering a cherry picker to reach a height of 25 feet, secured in a safety harness.
- Proficiency in both communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to function effectively amidst the intensity of a swift and physically challenging workplace.
