Job Summary of Warehouse Sorter:
Your tasks involve undertaking a range of warehouse operations, which include picking, packaging, organizing, transporting, receiving, and overseeing stock levels. This role focuses on ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of orders while maintaining safety standards and quality assurance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Warehouse Sorter:
- Inspect production timelines, customer orders, or shipping directives to determine necessary stock movements.
- Move products and materials between receiving or production areas and designated storage spots.
- Systematize and segregate products based on their SKU, quantity, and classification.
- Carry out the operation of electric pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts with safety and efficiency in mind.
- Foster effective exchanges with receivers, drivers, registration staff, and forklift operators.
- Adhere to safety guidelines for the loading and unloading processes of trucks and trailers.
- Handle all equipment provided by the company, like personal protective gear and voice-activated tools, with care.
- Notify authorities promptly if you identify any safety hazards in the workplace.
- It is necessary to comply with the dress regulations by wearing the designated uniform.
- Put together customer shipments and ensure they are set for dispatch.
- Attach identification tags to pallets upon request.
- Loosen wraps, crates, and storage units as necessary.
- Keep accurate accounts of materials received and distributed.
Qualifications and Experience of Warehouse Sorter:
- To be eligible, applicants must hold a GED or high school diploma.
- The position necessitates one to three months of related experience and/or training, or a similar balance of education and hands-on expertise.
- It is desirable for applicants to have practical knowledge of warehouse machinery, particularly pallet jacks and forklifts.
