Job Summary:

This role will work within established guidelines to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle complex property insurance claims. You will handle claims, analyze coverage, assess liability exposure, and ensure compliance with state regulations. This position requires virtual estimating skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, call center environment with no physical inspection of losses.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned claims caseload with moderate complexity damages, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to facilitate claims resolution.
  • Conduct research and investigations to assess claim damages and identify potential discrepancies.
  • Identify and address coverage concerns and manage policy interpretation.
  • Negotiate and settle claims within authority limits, ensuring equitable outcomes for all parties.
  • Utilize estimating technology and virtual tools to prepare claims estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, and state laws and regulations throughout the claims process.
  • Support catastrophe (CAT) response operations when required, including travel and after-hours work.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant property adjusting or claims experience.
  • Working knowledge of residential construction and Xactimate estimating tools.
  • Strong negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Acquisition and maintenance of an insurance adjuster license within 90 days of hire.

Salary:

The salary range for this role is $63,590 - $114,450, depending on experience and location. Pay incentives may also be available based on overall performance and corporate guidelines.
