Mechanic

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and maintaining all related equipment involved with running production at a state-of-the-art metal packaging manufacturing facility. This includes operation of equipment and identifying areas of spoilage, taking corrective action as necessary. The position will also develop standard operating procedures, provide training for equipment operation, and reinforce all safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure efficient production.

• Operate and identify issues in production machinery such as cuppers, body makers, washers, and spray equipment.
• Ensure proper maintenance of high-speed automated equipment.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for production equipment.
• Provide training for equipment operation and reinforce safety standards.
• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency.

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

• Proven skills in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment re-build expertise.
• Experience with high-speed automated equipment.
• Competency in using micrometers, calipers, and related equipment.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
