Phantom Works Network Systems Architect Engineer

Job Summary:

Join a team dedicated to innovation and collaboration, contributing to the development of advanced network systems. This role involves designing and managing onboard avionics networks, off-board communication, and critical mission systems. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement system, hardware, and software requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and document system requirements for airborne hardware and software.
• Design and implement network architectures and interface specifications.
• Ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements through testing and validation.
• Manage communication protocols and integration of mission-critical DISA and SDN systems.
• Comply with cybersecurity requirements, including system hardening and security documentation updates.
• Coordinate with other aircraft systems to ensure seamless integration from concept through production.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to fielded hardware and software.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience for mid-level roles; 9+ years for senior-level positions.
• Experience with airplane communication protocols and tactical datalink hardware.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, COMSEC equipment, and cybersecurity standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with FAA or military certification processes.

Salary:

• $90,050 - $162,150
