Manufacturing Operations

Job Summary:

This role will assist with the design and implementation of new products, develop fixtures and tools for manufacturing, and support process improvement initiatives. This role involves working closely with design engineers, participating in problem-solving efforts, and contributing to cost-reduction and quality improvement strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design and implementation of new products.
• Design fixtures and tools for welding, assembly, and machining processes.
• Support preventive maintenance procedures.
• Lead and participate in Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) events to enhance processes.
• Identify and assist in problem-solving initiatives within the manufacturing plant.
• Develop methods for standard work procedures.
• Collaborate with design engineers to reduce costs and improve product quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Pursuing a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, metal cutting and forming, painting, and assembly.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Experience with 3D CAD or Creo Parametric is a plus.
• Experience in fixture design for manufacturing applications.

Salary:

• $22 - $28 per hour, based on completed schooling.
