Technical Service Manager

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, resolving quality issues, and conducting trials in a food manufacturing environment. The role requires frequent travel to customer facilities, serving as the primary technical contact and liaising between customers and internal teams like Sales, R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing. Responsibilities:

• Lead problem-solving initiatives related to food can and end performance issues.
• Manage the overall technical relationship between CROWN and its customers.
• Support customers in both existing and new package development projects.
• Develop and lead technical meetings with customers to address challenges and solutions.
• Collaborate with internal departments like Sales, R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing to align strategies and action plans.
• Travel frequently (up to 80%) to visit customer facilities and provide on-site technical assistance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BA/BS degree in Food Science, Engineering, Packaging, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a packaging manufacturing or food production environment.
• Proven ability to interact with customers in a technical capacity, including field testing and trials.
• Experience with double seaming technology and food canning equipment is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
• Demonstrated project management skills, able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to personal and professional growth.
• Six Sigma knowledge or certification is a plus.

Salary:
