Field Service Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

Founded in 1985, ATS specializes in industrial maintenance, focusing on optimizing factory operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance, including troubleshooting, dismantling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Identify and source necessary parts, supplies, and repair items while evaluating cost and reliability improvements.
• Independently conduct maintenance following industry standards; develop maintenance procedures for altered or new equipment.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on maintenance optimization, reliability, and preventative maintenance processes.
• Operate various machining tools, including lathe, drill press, and grinder, to manufacture and repair parts. May also perform welding tasks.
• Ensure compliance with customer contractor codes, housekeeping standards, and safety procedures.
• Document work performed, update maintenance records, and compile technical manuals related to equipment upgrades and automation integration.
• Lead and provide training for lower-level technicians and project teams.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex control systems, resolving hardware, software, and configuration issues.
• Utilize advanced maintenance technologies to collect and analyze equipment performance data.
• Conduct on-the-job training and lead technical development programs for customers and colleagues.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and technical guidelines while promoting situational awareness.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Associate's degree in a technical field with 12 years of relevant industry experience, or 15 years of industry experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems, with the ability to analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools, specialized tools, and programming software.
• Extensive travel required (local, national, international).
